Grantown Road Traffic Survey

Find attached a comparison of recent traffic volume and speed patterns in two Nairnshire locations – the back road into Auldearn and the Grantown Road/A939 as it enters Nairn .

This review has been done by Nairn River Community Council volunteers based on the data collected by two recent Highland Council traffic surveys

As you will see from the slides, we come up with a very different conclusion from Highland Council re the need for more traffic calming measures on the Grantown Road entering and leaving Nairn, where traffic volume is almost as high in a single day as it is in one week on the back road to Auldearn.
